BIOTECHWARE, a start up that operates in the biomedical field, is the winner of the Unioncamere Award “Innovatori d’impresa” in the “Innovation Ecosystem” category with its CardioPad Pro, a portable device for the professional recording of ECG’s that exploits the cloud platform for a faster saving, filing and processing of the data.
Biotechware won the competition of 719 business ideas for the three categories of the competition launched by Unioncamere to invite the young entrepreneurs to share their own company experience and receive a financial award to hire new resources in the company.
Mr. Marco Cantamessa, chairman of I3P, has shown his satisfaction: “The recognition awarded to Biotechware arrives at the very end of a complex development process and when its products start being spread to the market ” and he adds: “In startups such as Biotechware not only do we see a significant potential for growth, at international level as well, but also a significant social impact, since it allows obtaining cardiology diagnoses efficiently, quickly and – mainly – cost-effectively”
The award was delivered to the start.-up in Rome today, within the framework of the 12th Economics day organized by Unioncamere.
BIOTECHWARE, start up of the biomedical sector born in 2011 within the I3P incubator, developed CardioPad Pro, a portable device for the professional recording of ECG’s, conceived in compliance with the most innovative technologies which – exploiting the cloud platform – allows for faster saving, storage and processing of the data.
Thanks to CardioPad Pro’s advanced technology, the ECG is immediately sent to Biotechware analysis service which – resorting to a team of selected, highly qualified cardiologists, provide the findings in a short time. The objective of CardioPad Pro is to provide a significant contribution to the development of telemedicine, since it can be used in the pharmacies, in the physicians’ cabinets, in cases of home assistance and in the companies, allowing both the National Health Care Service and the patients to save time and money.
