The ASL City of Turin project
An important project in support of the vaccination campaign for the world of schools and the most at-risk age groups began over the weekend of September 11 and 12 at the Lingotto Vaccine Hub. Later, starting from September 13, other vaccination centers of the ASL City of Turin have joined: Compagnia di San Paolo and Nuvola-Lavazza.
This project, launched by the ASL Città di Torino in collaboration with the Associazione Italiana Cuore e Rianimazione “Lorenzo Greco” Onlus and with the support of the Fondazione La Stampa Specchio dei Tempi, consists in offering the possibility to specific categories of people, i.e. young people between 12 and 19 years old, over 60s and school staff, who present themselves to receive the dose of Covid-19 vaccine, to do the electrocardiogram and a thorough check of vital parameters, such as heart rate, saturation, blood pressure and blood glucose, these values are very significant for the state of health and well-being of the person.
Biotechware EKG solution
CardioPad Pro, Biotechware’s portable electrocardiograph, was chosen to perform the ECGs. It collects the patient’s personal data, fills out a cardiology history questionnaire and sends all the data to the ASL Città di Torino’s cardiologists, who can report the exams remotely with an overview of the patient.
Once the report is issued, a notification is received via email or SMS with instructions to download the report document signed by the cardiologist through the dedicated portal.
Numbers and actors involved
In order to have a general overview of the project below are the numbers and players involved:
